Some may think timber frame construction is only for New England! You'll be amazed as Julie the owner is with how her Florida timber frame home turned out. Built by Davis Frame, here's what she has to say about her new home:
"The floors are Brazilian Koa, and the arched doors are from New Mexico, Spanish Pueblo. Our doors are made from Douglas Fir and the lights in the Great Room (4) and the 1 in the Foyer are custom made for the house from an artist in New Mexico. Chris Patch [Davis Frame Production Manger] was helpful, as he chamfered the foyer beam specifically for the light and was able to send the artist the exact dimensions so the great room lights fit perfectly in the space. The railing around the balcony is custom made/forged by a local iron smith. Can you tell that I LOVE our house?"

Julie also tells us that their son's room has a bed on the upper level with a fire pole on one side to slide down. A ship's ladder, crafted by Julie's father, provides access for bedtime use! Now how cool is that!
With a custom Davis Frame timber frame home like this, I don't think I'd be at the golf course; instead I'd rather have friends over and show off my amazing home!
