Meet Steve Petty, Davis Frame Company's Cape Cod and Islands Timber Frame Independent Representative! His region covers all of Cape Cod, the South Shore, Nantucket as well as Martha's Vineyard. Steve has been with the company for over 12 years and has managed over 40 timber frame projects throughout the years. With a great wealth of knowledge of the Cape Cod area, Steve can help you accomplish your dream home!

Steve's role with the company is to project manage your timber frame home from design to finish. He will help you with design and material decisions and help meet your needs for your new home! Not only will he help manage your new timber frame home, but he can recommend builders in the area to build your home. Steve has been in the building industry since the 1970's and an acquaintance of Davis Frame Company's Jeff Davis for over 30 years. His well rounded background includes constructing conventional, hybrid and timber frame homes. Some of Steve's past timber frame projects include: timber frame additions, custom timber frame homes on the ocean, barns, pool houses, lakeside cottages, unique projects and of course ocean front homes. In addition, he is a liscensed supervisor for the state of Massachusetts, as well as a certified building commissioner. Steve also used to teach a course for builders to obtain their contractor's license. Not only is Steve knowledgable about the building industry and timber frame industry, but he has designed many home over the years. Steve's clients appreciate his professionalism, enthuisasm and patience in helping them design the timber frame home of their dreams.

Update on New Hampshire Timber Frame Home

Here is an update on the frame raising of a New Hampshire timber frame home going up near a well known lake in the Monadnock region. The timber frame home is made up of Douglas fir timbers and the main frame is a principal purlin common rafter system. The frame is almost complete and the next step will be to install the panels!
