Timber Frame Raising on Cape Cod

Here at Davis Frame Company, we recently shipped a timber frame home package to Cape Cod Massachusetts. The custom timber frame home will feature 3,551 SF of living space and plenty of space to entertain family and guests.

The first floor will feature 1,824 SF with an open concept timber frame great room, dining room and kitchen. To the left of the great room will be a large library and media room. A solarium and screened in porch will also be be located on the first floor. The solarium is similar to a sun room, except it has windows on all sides, including skylights. It will be a great place to enjoy the sun all year round and with all the glass and sun exposure, it is perfect for plants.

The second floor will host the master bedroom suite as well as 3 guest bedrooms and 2 additional full bathrooms. A widows walk will be accessible from the second floor screened-in porch and is a great place to enjoy the waterfront views.

Weekend Timber Frame Cabin in New Hampshire

Have you always dreamed of building a weekend getaway cabin? Many of us do and for one of our clients, his dream will soon become a reality! Davis Frame Company's latest cabin project will be located in the northern woods of New Hampshire. The cabin design and finishing touches will bring the cabin back to the basics, and will be a perfect place to enjoy wildlife and nature all year round!

The timber frame cabin will feature Eastern White Pine timbers and Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). The SIPs will help keep the cabin cozy during the colder months. To achieve the rustic cabin look, the cabin will be sided with live edge cedar siding.

This 16' X 20' timber frame cabin offers plenty of space for a weekend getaway in the woods. The first floor features an open living room and kitchen as well as a 3/4 bathroom. The cabin will be heated primarily with a wood stove and it will also be used for cooking. A stackable washer and dryer will also be included on the first floor. A ships ladder leads to a cozy sleeping loft.

Our cabin client is also building a 22' X 26' one car garage that will host a woodworking workshop and a guest suite above.

Timber Frame Home Recently Finished in New York

One of our clients sent us photos of their recently finished timber frame home located in the rolling hills of New York! The timber frame was custom designed by the Davis Frame in-house design team. The timber frame features a Principal Purlin frame and Douglas fir timbers.

This Davis timber frame home features a spacious layout with 2,718 SF of living space. The first floor is open concept with the great room, dining room and kitchen open to one another. The master bedroom suite and den are also located on the first floor. The second floor hosts two guest rooms, two full bathrooms, office space and a loft. The couple plans on finishing their basement in the future to add more living space.

Flexible Timber Frame Floor Plans by Davis Frame

At Davis Frame Company, we offer over 40 pre-designed floor plans on our website. Every floor plan offers a flexible layout and can be modified to meet your wants and needs.

Below is an example of how a plan can be modified. We took our Classic Barn 1A first floor and are showing you how the first floor plan has been modified for 3 different clients. Each modified floor plan has notes on how it changed. Almost all of our pre-designed floor plans are customized to meet the needs of each client. As you can see, each client below changed the layout of the kitchen and the master bedroom wings vary for all too. No plan is a one for all; no lot captures the same views or sun exposure and every clients needs are different.
