Spring is finally here! The birds are chirping and our perennial gardens at our New Hampshire office are showing signs of growth. Although we love winter and enjoy the slopes, we're ready for warm weather, longer days, barbecues, timber frame raisings and of course our spring open house! We are pleased to announce the details of our timber frame spring open house event below:

Homestead Timber Frame in New York

Timber frame home in upstate New York

Our Independent Representative Brian Morrow, represents Davis Frame timber frames in Northern New York and he recently sent us a couple updated photos of his modified Classic Homestead 1 timber frame home. This model is one of our most popular post and beam plans and we can see why. It is the perfect size, 2,120 square feet and is truly a beauty and a great example of classic timber home living. We are in love with this house!

Brian's home is slightly larger than the original Classic Homestead 1 floor plan and includes a timber frame sun room that the original Homestead plan does not. The first floor features an open concept great room, dining room and kitchen to the right of the entrance and a spacious master suite to the left. A sun room is also located off of the great room and is the perfect place to enjoy a spring evening. The second floor features two guest bedrooms, a full bathroom and a loft that overlooks the first floor.

Timber Frame Barn and Garage Under Construction

Check out our latest project being built in Carroll County New Hampshire! This new 26X50 Davis Timber Frame Barn will also act as a garage and will have room for three cars and outdoor power equipment. Above the garage area will be a large 25x36 timber frame great room perfect for a party. Also included on the second floor will be a guest bedroom and bathroom to host overnight guests. 

The timber frame features 5 Douglas fir king post trusses. This new timber frame barn is sure to be a beauty, in fact, we are pretty sure guests won't want to ever leave!

The roof panels for this project are Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). The wall panels will be conventionally built.
